Meena Sankarkumar is an Associate at Collins & Metcalfe LLP, where she practices in the areas of labour law and professional regulation.

Meena earned her Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2025. During law school, she volunteered with Elizabeth Fry Toronto, providing support to vulnerable individuals involved in the justice system. In recognition of her commitment to community service, she received the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award for her pro bono contributions.

Before pursuing a legal career, Meena completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto, with a major in Political Science and double minors in Psychology and English Literature. She then earned a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University. Prior to attending law school, Meena spent six years with the Ontario Public Service, where she gained valuable experience in public administration, policy, stakeholder engagement, and change management.

Meena brings a compassionate, practical, and client-focused approach to her practice. She is committed to ensuring that clients feel heard, supported, and informed throughout the legal process. Her diverse academic background and professional experience enable her to provide thoughtful, well-rounded, and strategic advocacy.

Outside of work, Meena enjoys cycling, walking her dog, and exploring Toronto’s vibrant food scene.
